An Indefinite Pause: Shoulder Surgery and the Road Ahead

I need to share some important news with the Dark Wolf Mission community.

After putting it off for too long, I'll be undergoing shoulder tear surgery in the near future—likely two separate procedures. The recovery timeline is substantial, somewhere between 12-18 months total, and the training I'll be doing during both the pre-surgery preparation and the lengthy rehabilitation period simply won't align with the Dark Wolf Mission programming and philosophy that this blog was built around.

What This Means for the Blog

Workout Updates: I'm putting the workout log portion of this blog on indefinite pause. The modified training, physical therapy protocols, and careful progression I'll be following won't translate well to what you've come to expect from this space, and I don't want to dilute the mission with content that doesn't serve your goals. For those wanting to dive deep into the archives, I'm linking my prior blog site here to an archive of workouts in addition to what you've come accustom to here: https://darkwolfmissionlog.blogspot.com/

Research Content: The research portion of the blog will remain active whenever possible. If you've found value in the evidence-based breakdowns, training science, and program design principles, I'll do my best to keep that content coming when I'm able.

Program Archives: I know some of you have been following along with my recent programming. I'm working on making the complete programs I've used over the past 12-24 weeks available in their entirety. You shouldn't see an abrupt stop in your training just because I'm sidelined. More details on how to access these will come soon.

A Brief Reflection

Sometimes the body forces you to take a step back, even when your mind wants to push forward. These surgeries aren't optional anymore, and the responsible thing—both for my long-term health and for this community—is to be honest about what that means for the blog.

This isn't goodbye, just a necessary pause. The mission continues, even if my personal expression of it needs to change for a while.

Thank you for being part of this journey. Stay strong, stay focused, and keep pushing your own missions forward.

The blog will remain live for research content and program archives.
